Why owning only one pistol is never enough?

OK Guys, I don't know what it is, but every time a new pistol is about to hit the market, it makes the ones you already own seem obsolete. I have read many that said they loved their newly purchased P320's so much, they were now getting rid of their Glocks. But if Glocks do the exact same thing as the P320 vice versa, why even bother making the switch.

I just heard that Beretta came out with the APX Centurian and the APX Compact. At first, I was like gotta go buy that APX Compact but then I was like, I got a Springfield MOD2 with the 3" barrel and it is a real soft shooter, ergonomics it's right up there with the best of the best, why am going to get a gun that will pretty much do the exact same thing as my old one?

Oh well

I think it is in the male gene. “Just gotta have it.” If one is good more is better.:p
I find I get passionate about all my hobbies. When into cycling I had 4 bikes with all the do dads. When golfing always had the next best club.........

Got no excuse. Just enjoy mechanical things.

I got.the same feeling. But folks who buy so many different 9mm from full size.to subcompact they are all well 9mm.. I have come to learn the out dated sort.of Springfield XD mod2 is the one perfect carry gun as it has 13 rounds primary mag and 16.backup. all or most.other subcompacts only.havd 10. And as.far.as.compact.size whatever you.buy be it Glock, Walther or others they are all pretty much the same

Fellow Arizonans, Quit inviting more people from CA here. This place is getting too crowded. I came here from CA but that was in 1999.
Went to CA in 1958, radar site outside San Jose. San Jose had about 40,000 people. Now there are that many stuck in traffic any time of the day. Everyone go to NV. Great place.

The reason I am on earth is to make sure that gun manufacturers have someone to sell their products to. I am doing my part.

Also all the accessory manufacturers. I am here to help.

Good tools make a happy man

For me, it's like tools. Good tools make work highly satisfactory. Less good tools make work annoying and thus boring. Same with guns.

Therefore I went for a SIG X-6 Supermatch, a Feinwerkbau AW93, sold my S&W Model 66 and now smile all day long with my 2 3/4" Manurhin MR73. Now all I need is a Manurhin MR32 Match and a Korth National Standard 6" and I shall have no regrets. I would have loved saving by buying a Ruger MK IV in 32, but they seem bent on giving up the market to the Europeans instead of taking it over.

Money? No, it's not cheap. But instead I drive a 12 year-old car, smiling while realizing my brother-in-law has burned 50 grand over the past 10 years buying and selling new cars... Thus, so far I have saved 40 grand net over 10 years. And since my tools are so great I will keep them till my dying day while he keeps on swapping cars...

I'm right there with you - except I don't have any upscale SIGs! Welcome to the forum.

I'm driving an 8 yr-old car FJ Cruiser. Thought about a pricey Lexus SUV, decided I don't really need one. I'd probably gone ahead but for the front grill being just UTT BUGLY, that and I do like the FJ.

When I was 14 years old, my mother bought a Ruger Blackhawk .357 magnum for me. Three years later it was a Security Six. Since then, I have never had less than two firearms, despite some selling and trading I've done. Now, if my primary EDC is down for whatever reason, I have to stand in front of my main safe, door open, and try to decide what will take it's place. I prefer all metal with wood grips, although I do have 3 polymer- a Glock 23, Glock 36 and an S&W Sigma .380 ACP. Despite owning SIG's in the past, I just recently caught the Signess... and I've been burning through funds ever since. It's not a cheap hobby, but it keeps me busy in retirement.

Tell me about it! Every time I think about what I have for insurance purposes, I realize I have a new Stingray or Grand Sport I've wanted parked in my safe. Then I have to try and keep from puking. (blurp) Here is comes..... (BLAAaaaaaaaaah!)

It really depends what that one and only gun is...I bought a Sig 210 and it was my one and only gun for about 20 years...did not want anything else as this gun is just the best you can get

Then because my eye sight was going that I wanted to also train with a 22LR that I bought another gun which started a frenzy of collecting more as my local gun shop deals with collectors and gets me vintage Sigs for a very reasonable price
