I have M hands.
It appears to me the stock or Hogue G10 are of the narrow/thin type. Being the M11 has non-adjustable side/backstraps, how is the stock/G10 grips for M hands?
As well as the trigger (reach), keep the Short Reach or swap to the std Trigger-6?
Thank you, it’d be easier if my LGS had M11/P229’s.
I have large hands, not bear paws but I wear "large" gloves. The G10s are the nearest in grip size to the thin, but lesser-quality factory black polymer grip panels. And I prefer the thin short reach trigger with the G10s. Some people will only use the standard triggers and some, like me, prefer the thin, short reach triggers. I've been converting all my SIGs to the short reach triggers. The only one that I prefer to leave with the standard reach trigger is my P239 due to its smaller grip size.
It's hard to really know how M11-A1 or any pistol will fit your hand without hefting 'em to see. My M11 came with SIG's short reach trigger, so drop by your local LGS and give her a squeeze!
My hands are on the small-ish side of a large size glove. Some of my medium size liners work fine. M11-A1 with SRT was fine, but I've now switched to GrayGun's intermediate reach P-SAIT switch which feels even better.
And yeah, G10s 're about the same thickness as SIG's poly grip panels. I prefer either G10s or aluminum for their improved grip-yness...
The standard cheap original grips are the smallest with the G10 next in size.
I have a nice set of G10 gray on my P229SAS but all my M11A-1 (3) and P228 (4) have the standard grips
I have medium size hands and fingers but they are "thick" so I wear size large gloves
Because my fingers are "thick" I remove the short trigger and grind off the end about 1/8" making the short trigger the best for my grip size once so modified.
Otherwise it pinches me in its original form.
I do not like the standard trigger
I wear XXL gloves, I had to put the GGI P-SAIT trigger on my P226 and M11-A1. I prefer to use the Hogue wrap around rubber grips to make a good full-size handle. I really prefer the look of the G10 checkered grips.
I have XL hands & seem to be one of the few who actually like the standard grips on my M11A1 & 226. However, I absolutely hated the M11A1 thin short reach trigger, so I changed it out with the Gray Guns P Series Precision Dual Adjustable trigger. I ended up getting another one for my old 226.
I wear size XL in gloves....Love the original polymer grips, and flipped trigger to Standard "fat" trigger on my M11-A1....same deal on my P220 Carry...P229 & MK25 came with Standard......like the same trigger on all SIGs....
That's just me....everybody has different sized hands.....
I hated the short trigger when new on mine. I changed it for the PSAIT and G10 grips. That was good. I recently changed to the dual adjustable intermediate trigger. That is even better. Takes the pre travel out, and still has the over travel adjustment for a phenomenally short reset. Makes what was already good, outstanding.
