Hello, I’m new to this forum stuff but I have a Sig p938 I when I shoot the point of aim is not the same as point of impact it is to the right and low left. When I look at the front site it seems to not be perfectly centered. Is there a tool to use to move that front site? I do not have a vise at this time., so the punch , hammer and vise won’t work, thanks
If you have tritium sights, the "punch and hammer" method is a good way to crack the tritium capsule, and let the "gas" escape, causing them to go "dark".
The front sight should in most cases, be centered, as long as the slide is machined "on center"! Otherwise your windage can be "off" variable amounts depending on "range", and only correct at 1 range, by adjusting the rear at that one distance.
It's best to use a sight tool, getting the front centered first, then adjusting the rear. I've always found centering both the front and rear sights in their dovetails, will be very close to "perfect".
Your best bet would be to find a local gunsmith with the proper tools, to center your sights, then see how the POA/POI resolves itself. As mentioned, the Sig uses different height sights to adjust for elevation.
Sig uses what they call a "Combat Hold" the same as Sight Image 3 below.

Not understanding how the POI could be both "right" and "low left". Clarify?
