Day at the Range

Well, since my membership with a local club started on July 1, figured I better go out and use it! Saving $7 off of a $14 range fee is good. The membership cost me $45, but should get that back fairly quickly. Anyway, took out the 229R in .40 and 239 in 9mm. Closest set up they have is 15 yards and the way I shoot I should be using a rifle! I'm good at 7 yards, ok at 10 and just have fun at 15. It's been a couple of months since shooting and forgot about the combat sites and was shooting consistently south of 9 and 3 o'clock. Raised it up and it got better but not much (I know, practice, practice).... Went thru about 75 rounds a piece, but gives me a reason to stock back up with a few boxes.... Anyway, a good day and it gets better as tomorrow I go to the other range and throw some lead in the air and see if it hits any trap birds! Trap... ummm, good to eat but ya gotta cook em right, otherwise they get tough!

The sportsmans club i belong to has 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard huts. but as long as the other people on the range are shooting pistols, theres usually a line of guys 10 yards from the backstop.
