Hello, I know you guys probably don't like me resurrecting a year old thread, but I was just googling mags for my P232 and stumbled across this site. I've had my P232 for at least 15 yrs. and I only have one mag for it and decided to purchase a couple of more and went to EBAY and saw a price of $125.00 and knew I was in trouble. Anyway I called SIG and spoke to Olivia and asked her about mags and she said that they discontinued the P232 and it will never be coming back and all parts will dry up. She told me to try Numrich for parts which I found springs, floor plates and follower. I also found a guy that is local to me here in NH. He has over a hundred S.S. and steel mags and is selling them for 80 to 90 dollars. When I purchase some I will post on the board if anybody is interested, he says they are all genuine Sig.

Thanks!

Sigke and Czechvar! I bid on a couple on EBay. Have any of you guys tried a ProMag for a 232? I see them on EBay and I'm curious, I don't carry this Sig just shoot it once in a while.

ProMag has a Terrible Reputation

I bought two ProMags for a P220 a few years ago. They would not feed, so I sent them back. Popular opinion on this site to avoid them at all costs.

Just sold my 232 SSS but am keeping my blue one, considering picking up some springs and things before they are completely gone. Anyone know where to get a rebuild kit?

Parts kit? Good luck. I bought one of the last ones listed on eBay. Mags are still available but at a premium. I found two ss mags at the gun show in Orlando last weekend. $95 for the two. One was all stainless and the other had the plastic base and follower. Another booth had a blued early production one for $65. I passed on the blued one.

I got one almost a year ago but it was the retailers last one. I found it by constantly scanning the Sig Parts group page on facebook.

I bought my first sig p232sl the other day and I love it. Mags are hard to find. Found a dealer who had some in stock but each one was a little different from the other. 1 had a dimple or impression at the top near the back, the other one had a cutout where the dimple should have been and the 3rd didn't have the dimple or cutout. Anybody have any info on this? They all work flawless.

I have seen 4 types of mags with 3 different bases. Blued and stainless with slots on the sides. These are the early versions. Later ones have witness holes on the sides. The early ones also has metal bases while the later ones had black plastic bases. I have some of all of them except the early blued with the slots.

Lucky You.
I has a Neighbor that bought one in 2009 and he carried it under the Drivers seat in His Buick. He never checked to see if it was there even though He took it to the Car Wash and Mechanic. Last year when He was moving and was going to ship His Buick to Colorado He
decided to check. It was GONE. Who knows when it was taken. He still had the Blue Case and Manuals so He threw them away. I now wish I would have taken them

It took me about four years to find my SL also. But then two additional ones came into my life. Now have to feed three of the little buggers.
