Sig P290 non-RS question

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to. I'll try to rephrase it so maybe it will make more sense.

I have a non-rs P290. Love it. Never an issue with factory ammo or my reloads. Anyway, if the gun is not loaded or cocked and I pull the trigger, I get a spot in the trigger where it feels like it hangs or sticks before it reaches the end. If I rack the slide and pull the trigger, it doesn't do it. Does that make sense? Is it normal? The gun only had about 100-150 rounds through it and it always did that. It runs flawless but I'm just wondering if this is normal.

I understand its a pre-cock DAO vs a true DAO so I'm wondering if that maybe the reason. My XD45 (Stricker fired DAO) trigger pulls back nice smooth with no hang up or anything like my LCP and my P250 cocks and drops the hammer with each trigger pull. I know that's a true DAO like the new RS version of the P290. My P229 does the same thing or I can manual cock the hammer. DA/SA trigger. I just can't seem to get an answer anywhere. Thanks in advance.
