short vs standard trigger

Will a standard trigger make it so you dont have to pull the trigger back as far before the gun fires?

mine came with a short trigger and it feels like i have to pull the trigger extra far back before it fires compared to my p6

The short trigger only reduces the reach to the trigger, it does not change any of the mechanics.

wolverine, It depends on what problem you are having with the short trigger.
It is thinner, so it lessens the reach from the backstrap of the pistol. That
means the face of the trigger is closer to the backstrap when you are firing
single action, and it will be closer to the backstrap when the sear dis-engages
as well. It will indeed feel like you are pressing the trigger farther back. I noticed
this on my P239. I installed the SRT kit and a short trigger at the same time, and
found it feels like I have to bring my finger closer to the back of the trigger guard
to cause the gun to fire SA. Shawn

thats what feels like it happening and it bugs me ill have to switch it out
