I avoided getting my concealed carry until San Bernardino. Previously I didn't want to be on another Gov't list. Problem is that trouble doesn't text you to see if you're ready for it.

Fortunately I can never leave home without one. The only places I can't pack are the various medical offices I have to take my wife to. It then stays in the car but I'm carrying two blades just in case.

I live in Miami too. Definitely need to be carrying down here. People get carjacked or robbed pretty much every over here.

You know about Krav Maga? I began classes about four months ago, and even being really new at it, it is far better than having no training in self-defense. I'm 64 years old and seldom had any regular days off for anything similar, during the career from which I retired in 2016.

The point is that an attacker with or without a gun, who wants to really hurt you will often grab you/hit you from behind, or the side, Negating the chance to even reach for a gun. Krav involves very quick, violent responses.
Many thugs usually hit with a sucker punch (face or gut), or roundhouse swing.

We were in Regensburg and Nuremberg Germany in October, and we didn't feel unsafe (my 30th trip to Europe/UK), but we always stay in the "old towns" (or a small town) which are always the better areas, where >>not many<< recent immigrants live.
And a Polizei guy in the Nuremberg Bhf (main train station) told me about which HKs (P30) they carry.
