My all new never been fired 1997 date code stamped slide German P226 in picture

I always kicked myself for not buying one of the all German guns back in the 1990's. I bought my first P226 (and first gun) in 1998 and it was a .40 with the milled slide. At the time I thought I should also get one of the stamped slide all German guns but money was an issue then in my early 20's. I never got around to it and of course now they're not made (and no, the recent P226 German does not count for me). I was thinking about this the other day when I found a nib KH date code P226 for sale on CalGuns. The person who was selling it said he bought it new and threw it in the safe and never got around to firing it. It still had the original target and warning tag attached along with the original preservative oil. I have never been more happy with a gun purchase.

I don't know how to do the whole hosting thing so they're just attachments, sorry about that. I also threw in some comparison shots with my duty P226 with X300, which has also been 100% over a few thousand rounds and is scary accurate (I didn't shoot my Wilson CQB any better when I took my time firing both SA). I think the P226 will always be my all time favorite gun.

That's a beauty. If it were mine, I'd probably leave it in unfired condition and buy a new Exeter 226 and shoot the snot out of it instead.

You don't see too many (legitimately) unfired 226's for sale anymore.

Sweet - what a wonderful P226!

It took me almost three years to find my German P226. Mine was not new like yours but very close with case, manual, and test target also.

Congratulations on a terrific find and enjoy.
