I'm not sure why they put 13rd mags with that. I just something similar today. A W229-9-SP not quite the same gun you have but similar. It came with 2, 15 Rd magazines, it is dated 01-02-2020. I think 15 rounders would work in yours.

These will work, just make sure you don't order any marked P229-1, as they are also 15 round, but are sized like the .357 Sig/.40 S&W magazines.
Your magazines are 13 round, because that was Sig's "standard" in 2017 when the pistol was manufactured! Mec-Gar had been making them commercially for some time...
Your P229 Classic Carry is likely designed for 13 round magazines due to the narrower mag well/frame internal size. Updated 15 round mags are available through Greg Cote. But, the newer P229-1 mags are too wide. It’s my understanding that the P229 Classic Carry came with SRT. Mine did, along with the “short reach trigger”. If yours does not have the SRT, contact Sig. They may make it right. They did with my P226 Classic Carry.
There is at least one other version, engraved SIG on top, E2 grips and no fwd serrations. Since it was a 2013 it may not have had SRT. It also had an elite Beavertail.
Congratulations to us both ! I just ordered one to today. Did you find that at your local guy store?class=inlineimg]https://sigtalk.com/images/smilies/sad.gif[/IMG] Took a chance and when I met with the gentleman and looked at the pistol I just couldn’t say no!
The pictures you posted looks good! Are these the one’s you was talking about holster wear and ceracoat finish?
No a private sale off TGT. The pictures didn’t do it justice. It appeared to have a lot of holster wear and it looked like black cerakote. Took a chance and when I met with the gentleman and looked at the pistol I just couldn’t say no!
Just got through with a light clean and lube, I noticed that the de-Cocking Lever moves about 90% travel before dropping the hammer and it is kind of a mushy drop. On my P225A1 the lever moves about 50% with a more pronounced drop. Is this a problem or normal on the P229?

Is their significantly more side to side movement on the lever compared to your 225? If so you could tighten it up with a shim. Although it is probably not necessary, I used one for my P229 C and it worked to my satisfaction.
