1911-22

I have had my Sig 1911-22 for about a 6 weeks now and couldnt be happier. Not only is it a pleasure to shoot but it is accurate, comfortable and a whole afternoon costs me $20 for 500 rounds thru it. It eats whatever ammo I feed it with pleasure with an occasional FTF from the ammo, not the gun. The guys at the range love to try and get their hands on it whenever possible but I say for $375 why not own your own SIG haha......This is my first SIG and wont be my last. This gun has sold me on the product SIG puts out for sure. I wont only own SIG's but will surely own several as part of my collection. Next up is the P938 Extreme

IIRC the 1911 22LR is not manufactured by SIG but by GSG for SIG. I feel the same way about my P226 22LR that I have already obtained the 9mm conversion and 357 SIG conversion.

Sig 1911-22

Glad that you're pleased with the gun. I own a 1911-22, a P239 in 9mm and a P226 in .40 (also have the .22 conversion kit). Hands down, for sheer fun, I'll always go with the 1911-22.

As far as the manufacturer... the gun is made by GSG for Sig to Sig specs. I've been told that the CEO of German Sports Guns is the brother of the CEO for Sig. May be lore or may be the truth... I don't know. But I do know that Sig won't put their name on something that doesn't measure up to Sig standards.

Welcome to the Sig Sauer world!

I hope the magazines work better than the ones for the conversions

1911-22

The mag that ships with the 1911-22 pistol is metal and feels / is substantial. On the other hand, I had to order a follower from SigPower for the 226 .22 conversion so that the slide will stay back after the last round. I was growing tired of having to count each time I fired with the factory mag setup.
