I have been carrying a M&P Shield 9mm for years. I just purchased a p365 to carry instead. It's small, holds more rounds and shoots great. If you want something just little bigger go with a P365XL.

I would think when someone mentions "carry" they mean on their person. Some of the examples of being in your car as the "crowd" attacks would give more options. I think being in the middle of a riot is slim to none for most with insight and intelligence, however it could happen so could an invasion from China. A car "carry" would allow for a large assortment of back up. Using 1911 45 cal with a choice trigger one could protect theirselves much better than the 365 which maybe ok in the cafe. Not carrying a backup means you trust mechanicals and road hazards so well you probably don't have a spare tire. Why would you want your backup to be less than your first choice, be prepared. I often drive my BMW roadster convertible (but never in a high risk area), and in the event someone uninvited jumps in they'll quickly meet Fred and Ethel who ride cocked and locked. When someone my age drives a fast convertible they've already taken on a few risk. I'm trying to wean off of my motorcycles which is another story.

Rumor that Sig built a new lot of the obsoleted P225-A1 pistols
I heard a rumor that Sig built a new lot of the obsoleted P225-A1 pistols. This picture of a new one for sale on Gunbroker with the new style box seems to confirm the rumor.
