Luv my alloy 226 & 229 grips. Thought they'd show dings, but really not...

Cheers
Great to see you KC! Those grips look great on there. I didnít see the Sig ones available anymore so Iíll probably just get them from Hogue.

One of my concerns has always been the durability of the finish. I'm not too concerned when my G10s get smacked, but I'm not sure I'd get away with that on aluminums. But then I've never actually tried them...so what do I know.
I was thinking that if I singed them up, I could always cerakote them.

You got any pics?
I have G10ís on all my other Sigs. Figured alloys would be fine for a safe queen.

For black guns, matte black grips probably look better.

That's why I have Rosewoods on both My P220 Lipsey and P238 HD
Thinking about adding them to My P938 that has the Natural Slide.

Go for the Hogue matte checkered aluminum grips. Try the matte green or matte ODG as an option. They're certainly different than matte black, but not distracting IMO. I have these grips on my P226 DAK gun, and they're perfect, but they are range guns.

If you go smooth, not checkered, these grips will slip in your palms if they are wet. Also, the aluminums (checkered or smooth) will scratch, and are not suited for very cold weather unless you wear gloves.

Checkered is a must. My hands are just too slick for anything smooth to provide a good grip.

Go with flat black. They polish up after 10k rounds or so.

LOL got a set for my 229, scratch them by just putting them on, took them of and in the spare box they went, so be careful installing them.

I just ordered a set of Hogue G10 checkered for my P220; too many issues with the aluminum, including increased cost.

My Black-T refinished P220 with the Hogue G10 grips installed.

I had gotten a set of Hogue G10 grips and they were nice but didn't like the feel, not Hogues fault. The i got a set of their rubber overmold and like them much better. Got them on both of my P220's. Picked up a Sig 1911 Emperor Scorpion Carry and it comes with a set of Hogue G10 grips but ordered a set of VZ grips and try them out
