P-226 elite sight adjustment (night sights)
New member here so please bear with me if this has been beat around before. I did run a search but might not have used the correct key words.
I have a Sig P-226 elite with the "Adjustable Combat Night Sights" I see some little set screws on the rear sight so it does appear adjustable.
Anybody familiar with this sight as far as adjustment goes. I can probably figure it out but would prefer to know the proper way before chasing it all over.

Sure,.... Loosen the two small set screws at the bottom of the sight and use a plastic punch or something that won't leave a mark and tap the sight the way you want. Sig now has the dovetail snugger than years back. This has greatly helped the rear sight from moving if the set screws back out over time. To prevent the rear set screws from backing out, I use some blue locktite sparingly on the two rear screws once you get it where you want. I use a tooth pick to apply the locktite. The side screw (it's a bit larger in size) is for elevation. It is a click adjustment. These are great sights. I had a set on a USP Compact 45 for years and they are every bit as tough as any other metal fixed sights. I can rack my slide easily on the side of my desk with these sights. Most times you will only adjust your windage one time for your grip style. The elevation is easier to adjust because you probably will fine tune it more to the different rounds you are using. I like a target hold with the front sight just under what I am shooting. I am more accurate like this and can stack bullets in the target easier than having my front sight cover the target. Remember,.....move the rear sight the direction you want the bullets to go.

Thanks for the quick response. When I went to loosen the lower set screws on the rear sight the sight moved sideways about 1/32". Sight apparently came from the factory loose in the dovetail (probably why my groups have been moving around). Little screws were tight in their threads so were still factory LockTited.
