Thinking about getting a Sig 1911 Tacops

Thinking of getting a Sig 1911 Tacops. I have shot and owned several 1911 pistols but have never fondled a Sig 1911. Any pros or cons on the Tacops? It will be strictly a range toy. Also is this a decent price on one?

Thanks

I've held and toyed with a Tacops a little, but never fired one. The grips on it are great and really stick to the hands for a sure grip. They're also wider than normal 1911 grips for a more comfortable grip. It also has some other nice features like the magwell and the ambidextrous safety. One thing to note about SIG 1911s is a lot of 1911 holsters won't work with them because of the shape of the slide, but if you're just using it for range shooting you may not be worried about that.

As far as price, I've seen it at several gunshows in the $950-$1000 range, so the price on that auction is probably pretty good.

I bought one on my last R&R in July. I absolutely love it. Shoots extremely well and is very accurate. I do carry mine so there are holsters out there for it. I carry mine in a Kaluban Cloak kydex holster. I had to order a holster to fit a Springfield TRP Operator which I also have so it works for both. And being a SIG, how can you go wrong?

I bought mine earlier this year and absolutely love it. I did replace two of the four mags with Greg Cote's. more precautionary then anything. I've never had a problem with the original US mags.

Their attitude is why are you calling us with a problem we don't have problems you do/ sent my target back the mags were getting all scored up ,there was a burr near the upper screw that holds the grip , they said was in spec. they didn't remove the burr or replace the mags had to file it off my self, i would have done it myself in the first place but i wanted the mags exchanged.

I have the Tac Pac which is the Sig XO. Love the gun and carry it daily. Holsters are a problem however I ordered one from Kirkpatrick Leather. They had one in stock. If Kydex is what you like any of the makers of Kydex holsters can make one.

I have not had any problems with the supplied mags however I relegated them to my range bag. I only use Wilson's for my 1911 pistols.

Just ordered it from the link I posted above. Seems like a pretty good price. Can't wait to get it!
