P228 Nickel

The person I bought it from says it is NIB from 1991 and it seems to be in excellent condition. I'm wondering about the sights; can anyone help me identify them as standard issue on the nickel P228 in 1991.

One of the experts will be along shortly but those appear to be aftermarket Millet sights.

I have never seen those sights as standard issue on a SiG P Series pistol...stock sights I am familiar with on P Series from this time are the Von Stavenhagen bar dot sights or Trijicon made SiG Light night sights off the three dot variety...I also recall but had never seen three dot white dotted sights of the non night sight design...

Not an expert but I would say aftermarket--I've never seen anything like that before on a factory Sig from any era.

Agreed. Looks aftermarket to me. I don't think SIG is known for puting tall sights on their pistols. Nice 228 though. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Interesting sights. love to hear more from a Sig "expert".

More interesting to me is that great pistol!
Heck with the sights, how about some more pics of that great looking nickel Sig?

No, no beauty marks to cover. I had it down to clean the inside of the slide and neglected to put it back up before I took the picture.
