Does it have any special features like an SRT or Custom Shop work? Is it a particular P229 version or just a standard 229? Can you put your hands on it and inspect it, or is that from an online listing? If you can actually put your hands on it, I'd do a quick field strip on it to look at the parts for wear and tear. That seems to be less than used ones are going for online, so if it's not too worn out, that's probably a decent price.

Just standard 229, shop in OKC and I'm in Muskogee. I gave my CC number to hold gun till i can get there, if I like I'm going to pay cash and save 3%. He sent some pics stripped down and it sure looks clean, but I like to put them in my hands before I commit. I ran across it on his Facebook page for his shop.

Well, if you inspect it and it looks good, it's probably a good deal. I have 4 229s, and if I found one at that price and it was in good shape I'd buy it.

That looks like a 229R (Rail) Good deal if it's clean, and it looks clean.
Good Luck!

IMO, yes its a good price. NS alone would run you roughly $125 and 3rd mag about $35.

I've got three Sig P229s - two are the old style in 40 S&W and 357 Sig and the last one I got has a rail and is in 9mm. I would not part with any of them but at the price you are paying for your P229, I would buy another one. Sounds like a great deal! Good luck!
