Ribs on front handguard.

My hands are tender because I am old. The ribbing on my 938 was very uncomfortable when I shot it. Bullet weight didn't make any difference. The ribbing was too rough. I don't want to wear gloves when I carry my 938. I ground down the ribs with one of my dental burs. It is smoother now and doesn't hurt me. My problem now is how do I put the finish back on the metal I ground down? I have a 938 nightmare with a nitron finish.

You should look into getting a hogue rubber grip.... I put hogue grips on all my pistols and it makes them alot more comfortable!

I have used Brownells 44/40 cold blue to touch up my Nitron Sigs, it works pretty good at matching up. Nothing will look exactly like the Nitron but it does cover and protect the metal, and is black, that is the closest thing that I have found to matching up.
