Since it's recommended by Sig, I purchased this product and used it per videos I could find [first time cleaning, I'm new to this]. It looks like this stuff is disappearing and does not make the gun look "wet" and shiny. I hope it's normal and still gives the protection needed. I don't want to over-grease it either.
Any comments?
Guns should not look wet and shiny. Excess lube/grease just attracts dust, dirt, and otherwise makes your weapon gunk up faster. You should use as little lube and grease as you can get away with, and if you used it according to the videos you probably used enough.
