Now I see that I should have put this under the photography section. My bad.

I've always wanted a 220 in 38 Super. That is a cool round, alot of fun is you load your own ammo.

Yes, it is a European bottom mag release. A guy had been telling me for a year that he knew a guy that had a P220 38 Super that he wanted to sell (yeah, yeah, friend of a friend of a friend). Last May I told him that I would buy the gun if it was nice. My guy said that his guy had bought it new and had never fired it (whatever). Told him to pick it up and I'd take a look at it. When he showed it to me he said that his guy wanted $400 for it, but that he'd like to make a little off of it. I gave him $50 extra, so I ended up putting $450 in it (don't mind saying, not going to sell it). I told him that he had said that the gun was unfired and he said that it was, but for the couple of days it had been with him, that he had fired 10-11 rounds out of the box that came with it (see ammo in photo). Irregardless, I'd take one of these a month. Thanks!

Great pistol... Had one exactly like it years ago. Great shooter. In fact I liked it so much I carried everyday for like 2 years. P220 in .38 Super and a P225 in 9mm are the first 2 SIG's I ever owned.

When my department first switched from revolvers to semi's, I thought I had to own them all (much younger then). At one time I had bottom mag release in all four calibers: 45 acp, 9mm, 38 super, and 30 luger, along with the newly released P220 side mag release, a couple of P230's, and a P225. I ended up squandering them all away. I bought a new P210-2 from a southern Indiana LE dealer at the time for around $1,000 and I also let it go to for something I had to have. Guess as they say, hindsight is 20-20.

Sounds just like me, had to have them all. At one time I four P226's at the same time. I had'm all accept the SP2022's and 1911's. The only ones that I miss are my P225 and P228. I think I said this before but if we didn't know any better I would swear that SIG used my hand to design the P228, the ergo's on that pistol are absolutely perfect for my smallish hands. But the P225 was just something special all together for whatever reason, well I guess for lots of reasons but there are just neat little pistols.

Yeah, I really miss a P228. That's real high on my list of replacement Sig's. IMO one of the finest guns made. Last time I was at Crane Naval Depot I saw a palate of these things being rolled in for issue (M11), after they were supposedly discontinued. Damn, now I've got the hots to locate another 228!
