New e2 grips on my P229R

So I bought my P229R (old grip style) last week. Lovin' it! But I held the (new) e2 version at my local gun show and really liked the ergos, so I bought the grip conversion from Top Gun supply. I installed them without a hitch, but when I use the decocking lever, I can FEEL and visually SEE the grip move away from the frame right behind the mag release.
Anybody experience this? I'm thinking i could remove a bit of grip material on the backside where the lever is, but I don't want it to be detrimental to the fit of the grip on the inside.....

A couple of mine do that too. And a couple of them don't. Not sure why. It doesn't affect the gun's performance or reliability at all and doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it, so I just ignore it.
