I have the 3 dot night sights on my P229 - they are very good sights and well worth the upgrade. My old Glocks had Heine's on them and these are far better IMHO

Has anyone had the short trigger installed? I would like to know how much

Be safe, Frank.
I put one in my 229 about a month ago that I got from TGS. I like the look but the verdict on the feel is still out. It puts my finger at an angle through the push. I'll give it few more trips to the range but may go back to the standard design. I have a medium sized hand.

Funny, this issue with NS I'm touching on on a different forum.

Here's my take; See if you can shoot in the dark before you get them. Just take this for what it cost you, but my experience is this;

If it is dark enough to need the sights, the target is just about always invisible. Thus, the regular white outline {square, etc} work fine.

BUT...NS's "clutter" the sights on the pistol and do nothing for precision shooting during daylight hours. For us, shooting varmints, snared animals, butcher stock and feral dogs, the precision of the "One-Shot Group" is the thing and that is best achieved with "target-type" sights.

Personally, I think a new direction is sights would be helpful. Slightly narrower front, square rear notch of a width to allw some light on either side of the front. Yes, sounds a lot like some sights of yesteryore.

This is what WORKS for me. Not saying you will like it, but in these discussions I have read of others who like me found the actual USE of NS's in the dark to be of much less value than might be thought by the name.

I can shoot in the dark all I want on my ranch, and do. Shooting of course is much different than "hitting"!! LOL.

For your entertainment, a few pics in a snowstorm. Jet black, I could see nothing but the faint silhouette of the targets {"standard" winter Targets; Chunks of Frozen Green Firewood!!}

As for the 226, I added short triggers to both of mine and liked them a lot. Especially for use wearing gloves which can really jam up pistol shooting, one of the reasons I gave up on Glocks.
