9mm -.40

I just posted this in the "gun forum" and realized that I should have posted here first so this is a repeat post from another thread:

I bought a SP2022 a few weeks back and while I am not having buyers remorse, I am wondering if down the road I'd be able to get a different barrel and mag to change from 9mm to .40. I wanted a .40 when I went to the shop but they only had 9mm and I didn't want to be put on a waiting list. I don't mind the 9mm, just wanted .40.

Thanks,

Bill

Well, I searched here on the board and found that I could go from a .40 to 9mm with a conversion but probably not the other way around. Oh well. I have a 9mm and will like it. Maybe someday I'll get another gun and it will be a .40.

I don't know if it's the same with the Sig, but my XD-40 can go to a 9mm, but the XD-9, to the best of my knowledge, can't go to 40.

To use a conversion barrel such as Bar-sto you must go down as 40 to 357SIG and 9mm.
I understand the same with the Sig conversion slide because the 40 frame has a little more muscle.
The conversion works very well. I have a 229 that shoots 40 and does 9mm even more accurate.
Ckeck out 40 in a 226, 229, 239 or wait for the new 224. You could Match what you have or get a whole different platform.
Good shootin
