Great lookin gun.
If you did want a 9mm you have a way.
Bar-sto makes a very accurate conversion barrel. Top gun can supply it for 215.00 or so. Your 40 magazines will feed 9mm just fine. Sig made em to. I had just a minor FTF issue, so I put a 9mm recoil spring in. I have a flawless 9mm that is more accurate than my Sig 40 barrel. I got a guide rod with it, so when I want to switch between 40 and 9mm I just drop in the barrel and spring.
I couldn't be happier with it. Like owning two guns for 1/4 the price.

The drop in barrel would be the easiest way! It would be like having 2 guns!

I have seen the conversion barrels. I'm just not sold on the finish. I'd rather have an all black one to be honest, but the deal was too good to pass up to be picky.

BTW, SureFire Ultra X300 on 226-40-BSS-G.

I'm trying to understand SIG box markings.
Bearone2, your box is marked '226-40-S'.
Does that mean your SIG did not come with night sites?
I believe a SST indicates a stainless with night sights as BSS indicates a blued or similar finish with night sights.-Dick

I paid $700 for my 226ST (NIB unfired) local. You got a great deal if you even traded a G23 for it. I don't know the exact production figures for the 226ST's, but they were limited production.

used, $600-650 depending on shape.

i didn't say it was rare, just a comment in a blue book of gun values of only prototypes & that it never never went into production.

Haha. Yeah, they were worth that used back when you could buy them new in 2005-2006.

A $600 ST now would be scratched up and nothing a collector would want.

My NIB doesn't have a mark on it. If you know people selling unfired NIB ST's for 600-650, I'll buy every one they have.

You can't even find Nitron 226's NIB (German-framed) for the prices you posted.

Don't have a pic and not going to get one for you. Let's see these ST's you talk about.
