Magazine question

Hi all. I just got two new clips from sig for my P250, both 10 rounds. One of them works great, the other I can only load 8 rounds in. I have never taken a magazine apart, but it looks fairly easy to do. I thought about calling sig and let them deal with it. Any thoughts of what I should do? Thanks.

Magazines usually work better than clips in those guns...

Check out page 35 of the P250 manual for disassembly instructions for your magazines. If you don't have a manual, you can view it on SIG's web sight SIG SAUER.

I would check to make sure that the spring is properly installed; the angle of the spring should parallel the angle of the mag housing. Also, make sure that the follower is oriented properly as well.

I did take apart the magazine, everything looked as it should. I guess I will give sig a call unless there are any other suggestions.
Thanks

Were you able to compare the parts from the good and the bad mag side by side? No obvious differences?

All parts looked the same, I saw no differences. The problem appears to be with the spring - I swaped the two and the problem followed the spring. I just got off the phone with Sig and they are going to replace it. Thanks for the feedback.

That's good they are replacing it. Could you see a difference in the springs?

With one of my 20 round mags, I could only fit in 19, no matter how hard I tried.

What eventually worked for me was leaving it loaded with 19 rounds for a day or two, unloading it, and loading it, and then I was able to put all 20 in.

It sounds like your problem is different, but if anyone else reads this, then just stretch your spring.

I saw no difference in the springs. I did also try leaving it loaded for multiple day (multiple time) and never able to get over 8 in it.
