2022 9mm what does it like to eat?

I have a new SP2022 in 9mm and Having never been a 9mm guy before I have no idea what to feed it. I tried to find something on the Sig website about recommended bullet weights but I did not find anything. I have 115, 124 and 147 grain rounds. Since the nation seems to have went stock up crazy in the last week, I just grabbed what I could find. Is there a particular advantage to one weight over the other, especially in this firearm? Are the sights set up for one and not the others?
I am also looking for a holster, but the more I search the more confused I become. Wow there are a lot of holsters out there. I think I will just go the LGS and see what fits.
Thanks in advance.

Well I have a .40 2022 and I broke that in with 165 gr. Federal ammo, and had no issues. I believe I have read that the 9's like to be broke in with at least 124 gr..

I have the 9mm version of the 2022. I have put everything through it. Shoots the cheapest and dirtiest ammo like tul-ammo just fine.

I have the 9mm flavor. It eats everything. As for holsters, check out holsters for the Springfield XD 4", they are most likely to fit your 2022, more holster manufacturers are coming out with models that fit the 2022 though, mostly are custom made when you order so expect a wait period. You will get a different POI with different bullet weights but not enough to really make a sight adjustment though. The 2022 is set up as a combat pistol and center mass hits is what counts. You would have to go way up in the food chain to get a dead on target pistol that gets center of bullseye single hole groups. You will be happy with the 2022 though, mine has been flawless and I trust my life with mine, it is my EDC.

I have one of those. Look on ebay for ones that are shipped right here from the US. and they are cheaper. They are made by Itac Defense.
If the auction states that it does not fit the new 2022s with the new rail, let me tell you that they do.

Have used 115 gr. Herters from Cabelas and Winchester 124 gr. NATO loads. Ate them all with no hiccups.

Take your time choosing a holster.
You will still end up with at least half a dozen, just like the rest of us.
Enjoy

I just picked up mine in 9mm today. I ordered a Blackhawk Serpa from Amazon. Didn't think spare mags would be so pricey!

Can't wait to get to the range.

I have the SP2022 in 9mm. A better question might be what doesn't it eat?

AFAIK, nothing.

2022 not a picky eater

In 9mm: chugs through everything, provided it's clean & lubed.

Just got back from the LGS-picked up my SP2022 and 500 rounds of 9mm Blazer ammo. Roughly $30/100!!! Walmart was out (or so they said) and Big 5 was $40/100 for Fiocchi.

So, like many of you, I grabbed what I could.

Came home, field stripped it, cleaned it, lubed it and dry fired a bunch. Changed out the grips to the larger ones and both the wife and I like the bigger grips. A little more real estate to get comfy on. Still trying to get a better grip on the pistol though. Too used to the 1911 hold.

I'll report back tomorrow (got the day off!) to let you all know how the range day goes!!!

PS-I registered for the Warranty on-line and got a 20% off coupon code for stuff on the Sig Sauer store. Not sure what I can afford after paying thru the nose for the ammo though.

winchester white box have yet to get any problems. 24.00 for 100 brass rnds. I also ordered some Blazers from Palmetto State Armory. 10 bucks for 50 rnds aluminum case. 12.00 bucks for 50 rnds brass case. Free shipping on orders over 40.00 I think. I spent 60 and the ship was free. Found some deals on holsters on Ebay the guys name is Holsterman. Optics Planet has a head-spinning huge selection too.
Clips are 45 avg delivered. Almost the same at Sig. If you got 20% off that is 8 bucks cheaper then the avg.
