I am in the market for a CCW since I just received my carry permit. I need opinions on which sig would be good for carry conceal in a 9mm or .40cal. I have only shot one sig in my life and I really enjoyed it.

Also, I can not get into the "for sale" forum to check out what is available. Anyone know what I need to do to be able to see whats for sale?

I have a P239 in .40, a P228 and a P225 that I keep in rotation. It's hard to pick my favorite!

Welcome to SigTalk! Sig is a great choice for your conceal carry pistol. I own P220 .45, P226 9mm and P239 9mm. My daily primary carry is the P239 9mm with RBCD ammo, 2010 ft/sec, 539 ft# energy. The P239 is my choice because of size and weight.

Concerning the “For Sale” forum, I think you may have to become a supporter to access to the buy/sell/trade forum.

Good luck on your concealed carry search.

The 239 is perfect for concealed carry. I also like the 250 sub-compact. I prefer .40, but with the right ammo, I wouldn't hesitate to carry either in 9mm.

I have carried my 220 in .45ACP due to my believe the .45 is the better stopper, but confess the 228 is my favorite.

My prefered carry is the 245, but in the cartridges you mentioned, my choice would be the 239. In fact, I just got back from the gun shop where I have just put a 9mm 239 on Layaway.

My primary ccw is a P229 in .40S&W. Also have a P220 which I have been known to carry.

Thanks for the opinions. I have been looking at the P239 but have heard of some major slide rattling noise with this pistol. Everyone says it is normal for the P239 and the gun still shoots great. . I am also considering an XD or XDm in springfield but just cant make up my mind. If anyone has a CCW in 9mm for sale at a reasonable price, let me know.

No rattling on mine, the slide is solid on the rails.

I can't say that I have heard or read anything about this subject associated with the 239 before.

Sounds like BS to me, My P239 is rock solid and has performed flawlessly from Day 1 ( 5,000 Rds. + and going strong ) .

P239 9mm is my usual EDC, with Speer Gold Dot 124gr HP. Runs flawlessly, no rattle. For range fun I mostly shoot the P226 but I shoot the P239, from my carry holster, at least monthly.
