Question Sig 2022 ?

New to the SIG line of guns....can someone tell me about the 2022 9mm ? I was looking at one today at my local gun store. I have a Glock 19 & was looking at the G17 but now I'm kinda looking at the 2022.....tell my why I should go for the 2022 over the G17 ?

I have the sp2022 in the 9mm flavor. Its a great firearm! Accurate, light, robust. It really depends what you are looking for. If you want a range gun great, go for it! If you want it for CC I would not recommend it. I have a G19 that I conceal and have tried to CC the sp2022 but it is not ideal for that, just feels like a fullsize gun. Overall great firearm for OC or range use. Over 800 rounds at this point and not a single malfunction.

I picked up my 2022 in 9mm last week. Love it.

Almost went G19 but the price difference was substantial. Admittedly, the DA/SA attracted me as I have a Winchester 94 that has a "half-cock" safety.

My wife got me one for Christmas, .40 cal, (it was a deal at $369.00), I took it out shot it and I sold my clock. Need I say more? The trigger was smooth as butter, the recoil not bad, it was accurate right out of the box. They also said the viridian X5L wouldn't work with it, but as you can see in my pic, it works just fine. I just need to find a holster for it now. I highly recommend the 2022.

I like the 2022, but it all comes down to the trigger I think. Do you like the DA/SA. Or do you prefer the Glock style trigger.

A nice thing about a Glock 17, is that it'll fit most holsters you already have and you can use the 17rd mags in your Glock 19.

My daily carry is a Glock 19 or the Walther PPS. They have very similar trigger systems and for me, that muscle memory is important.

The SP2022 is a range toy for me at this point. Not totally comfortable with the DA/SA trigger.

Mine rides constantly in a Crossbreed holster. Excellent trigger in both modes. Going to start 'smithing on mine before too long. Polishing, radiusing, filing, etc. It definitely feels better in the hand than the Glock.
