There are a whole world of 1911s from really cheap to astranomical.
My first love was a 1911 and they will always be first for me.
There is a reason they are in their second century and still going strong.

Go for it Snakeshooter and enjoy.

Yeah, it's pretty sad that I can fit safeties and do trigger jobs on 1911s when I've never owned one. I really want a Colt Combat Commander, but I'm longing for one without the firing pin safety...

I've seen those poly ones advertised, but I already own two poly handguns. I'm 'bout done with them lol... I think I'd rather have an aluminum or scandium framed '11 than a poly.

Now, there are no "moderators", per se, here at SigTalk...but the admin account is a multi-user account that is actively moderating.
Gotcha...thanks for the clarification .

Is the P220 about the same size as a Combat Commander?
I currently own a ParaOrdnance P13-45 & to me it looks to be about the size of a Combat Commander.

Thanks for that.
It seems the P227 is a little longer & the Carry is a little shorter.
