Question Froglube and polymer frame SP2022

I've been using Froglube on several guns and like it very much. However, on my SP2022 the slide rails run on the polymer frame. Since the Froglube can't penetrate the polymer, just the metal, can this cause a wear problem? I do use the Froglube on the polymer anyway. I have some rail grease but I'm not sure if I can use that on the polymer where it contacts the Froglubed slide as they are not supposed to mix. Maybe use a tiny amount of grease on the polymer?

Froglube along with most all the others is a quality product. I use TW25B since Sig uses and recommends it. If for no other reason, if I have a problem and get Sig involved, I have followed their guideline. I found TW25B works very good, and I use it on everything, except my 229.
It is a tad loose, and Slide glide heavy firms is up real nice.
I don't know who has the greatest handle on long term polymer. Sig says lube em up, and Glock says run dry. Just a drop of oil in 7 spots. I just do what they recommend.
Tw25B also says it penetrates. I know it doesn't take a lot, and it stays where I put it.
Enjoy the 2022

The slide rides only on those stainless steel metal tabs. Just keep them lubed and a light coast of lube on the slide rails with your favorite quality lube and you will be fine.

Aha, I was wondering if it ran only on those tabs or also on the polymer itself. That relieves my concern as I Froglube all metal parts with heat.

Yes, I'm really enjoying the Sig and have been thinking about fiber optics if I can be sure of a gunsmith that won't booger up the finish..

I use FrogLube on all my firearms, polymer frame included, and have never had an issue. FrogLube advertises that it is safe and effective on all surfaces including polymer frames. No need to heat the polymer frames up for use though.

I bought a small bottle of Froglube myself but haven't had a chance to try it out yet!

I use Frog Lube on all my guns, and love it. Rails still get Tetra Gun Grease though and both my M&P9 and SP2022 40 have been flawless. I'm sure they will work just as good with Frog Lube alone, but it just feels weird (like I missed a step) by not greasing the rails.
