The 9mm as a self defense round will diminish, not the demise. Other than a little recoil difference (depending on the handgun), the big advantage of a 9mm handgun is the capacity. It looks like the .45 acp will gain along with the .40 S&W.

Unless of course Oblammo tries to keep them from being grandfathered.
But you apparently can see the reduction over time, right? Within a generation, there really won't be many high caps carried by the good-guys.

You also have to consider those, who are not ardent shooters. Those who will buy a handgun, and put it in their nightstand for protection, but simply won't have access to legal high-cap mags. It's too bad.

There are a lot of good compact/service sized 9mm handguns out there that have 10 round magazines. A couple of other 10 round magazines, time on the range, night sights, and a possible light attached to the weapon. You have a very effective weapon to defend your family and/or yourself with.

So, you don't have a problem with a magazine ban?

Sorry guys. What I mean is if many states choose a different number of rounds, the gun companies have to block magazines to comply in each state.
Since calif. has a 10 why is NY going 7. Just makes it harder.
More important NY says handguns are totally banned if 1 single military resembence. I assume that does in the threaded barrels and silencers. The 226 is military used, so is it gone? Can they expand it at will?
