My new Sigs

I've mostly been a wheelgun shooter for many years. And my preference has been S&Ws. I've got several of them in .38 Special, .357 Mag, and .44 Mag.

And I've got many military semi-autos, but they are kind of clunky to carry.

I've recently became interested in modern semi-autos. I've got a 1911 that I've had for many years. It's a Remington Rand slide on an Essex frame.

But in December I decided to buy a new one I'm left handed and I wanted one with an ambidextrous safety.

So I bought a 1911 Sig Scorpion.

I added a Crimson Trace laser sight to it. It should make a great nightstand gun.

Then a couple of weeks ago I caught the bug so I bought a new 229 in .40 cal and a M11a1 in 9mm.

I decided that I wanted to carry the .40, but I didn't like the rail or the grips. So I swapped the slides and put the .40 slide on the M11a1 and the 9mm slide on the 229.

And I like the shorter trigger reset. It's a nice carry gun now.

Great buys right there. I really dig the Scorpion, but I don't know if I could ever bring myself around to buying one. It is sexy as hell, though.
