Dear Forum Friends...

Please quit buying out all of my ammo in the local shops, it's getting annoying.

I can't even find CCI Minimags because of the crazy ******** that snatch it up thinking it is the end of the world. As a matter of fact, I really can't find any high power 22LR to shoot in my P226 Conversion. It's actually easier to find 9mm at this point, which is completely wrong.

So again, please quit buying out everything you see because you're afraid of the ban. My supplies are dwindling because I shoot way too damn much.

Anyone else as annoyed with this situation as I am???

I wish! I just shoot an awful lot and you know it's bad when all the 22LR is gone as well. That's a rarity right there.

Can you imagine the credit card debt that is racking up from the folks that are going in and buying ammo by the case loads? Or maybe their families are going hungry because dad is crazy and think that ammo will never be available again?
I went to Walmart right after I got my Rough Rider .22 to get some .22WMR rounds and while waiting for the clerk to come unlock the case, this guy came up and asked if I was buying the rest of the .22Lr. I said that I wasn't, I just wanted one box of long rifle and one box of the WMR. He said good, but I am. I told him, well let me go first and he could get what he wanted. He walked out with 20 boxes of Remington 225 round bulk packs. No regard for the next guy that maybe wanted to take his young son or daughter out for an easy day at the range.

Maybe it is just me, but I always get just what I need and try and save some for the next guy, unless they only have what I am after.

The 22LR shortage is dire. It's the worst of all the calibers right now, and none of them are in bountiful supply.

I'm the same way when it comes to buying. I pretty much pick up what I need and I had about 1K rounds left of high power 22LR. I'm down to about
100 22LR now and it's going to kill me when it comes to practicing and for the D-1 League that starts on Monday. I can't even find overpriced Stingers or similar. I can't believe some of these people buying as much as they are, hoarding it. I bet most of them won't even bother to shoot what they have, ever.

And DBS, I completely agree. It's just getting annoying. I should have purchased that 5K rounds of minimags back in November. Oh well, if I run out, I'll just switch over to my Henry 22 and start shooting shorts. I can find those right now.

It's true and it's sad. I want some non-HP CCI MiniMags. They group beautifully from my S&W. I might as well **** in one hand and search in vain with the other, 'cause I know which one's going to fill faster.

I have a 1,400 round bucket of Rem .22LR "Golden Bullets" set back, but now my ordinary, ready-to-use stock of .22LR is now down to about about 1,000 rounds. And I try to get to the range for .22LR rifle and pistol practice once weekly.

In the past two days I have seen shelves bare of .22LR at two Wallys, one Dick's and two Rural Kings.

It's insane!

With the recent proposed gun legislation & the 2012 apocalypse, ammo shortage should not be a surprise.

It's driving me crazy, MGF. I think I went through close to 200 rounds of 22LR today and I need at least 90 for next monday, which leaves me 10 extra.

I'm going to make a few stops and see what I come up with, but even my good sources are now dry and they just cannot make them fast enough. Damn it, I shouldn't have joined a D-1 league.

If this keeps up, I'll have to just hit the attached archery range for a while until the dust settles.
