Prices are ALREADY dropping!!

I pay attention to gun prices via perusing my LGS and online like one would pay attention to stocks. Guns that were going for over 1000$ (namely the EXACT gun I want, the Sig P229 Elite Dark in 9mm, retailing at 1300$ whereabouts) is NOW at 1000$. 300$ drop.

The current gun I own, the p250 full size in 9mm, was going for around 500$ is now at around 400$.

If I wait a little longer, do you think prices will drop FURTHER?

Prices rise and fall. Once the gun you want hits a price you like buy it.

Hard to say. My shop is always overpriced and when I was in there earlier today the SP2022 was listed for $649. Uh, no thanks!

I don't see how, as Obama just released his battle plans for gun control today.

Gunshops and private sellers who price gouge because of the current FEAR of the government taking weapons away that are legally owned is what happens everytime people believe what others say BEFORE THE OFFICIAL POLICIES ARE WRITTEN IN STONE. If you are a customer of a shop who does increase prices to a extreme level.....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Buying a firearm you want or do not have now might be a overreaction of the current situation. If you want something now, maybe you do not really need it......just want it.
Your money, your decision but please do not complain a few months from now when or if prices come down to an acceptable level after all this paranoia is over!

The real problem is getting 9mm ammunition. Buyers can't use their new guns without ammo. I was checking again today for 9mm and .22LR. One on-line store listed availability of Federal American Eagle 9mm Luger 115 Grain FMG ammo as September 30, 2013. Now, that really sucks!

msrp on the 229 d e is $1218 with reg barrel, $1289 threaded.

if your lgs was charging closer to $1300 for the reg barrel, you oughta find a new lgs.

hard to tell.

I'm glad I resisted the urge...so far anyway. Will try to hold out a little longer for my next purchases.

Its not over yet. Joe Biden is pushing the agenda and they are going to give it their best shot. We can not afford to relax yet. I just posted a email that was sent from the White House asking for gun control support. We need to make sure that we stand tall and loud for our Representatives to hear us or we will end up like New York sooner than later.

My gun dealer told me that Sig is cutting their factory to dealer program and now dealers are going to have to go through and middle man now to acquire Sigs for their shops, meaning prices are going to go up. Anyone else hear about this?

Source?I know two 1911s on pegs at a gun range I've been watching. All the other retail shops are empty.
