Understand that. Wife says "your paycheck has my last name on it too" and the painful phrase "go ahead and buy it, make sure you buy your new pistol a pillow because you and "her" are sleeping on the couch". WE are a happy couple and "she" don't complain that I snore either.

A great philosopher once said

If a man has a happy marriage
He is happy with life, however it comes to him
If he has an unhappy marriage
He becomes a philosopher

you will score that Sig eventually and it will be sweet.

We've all been there man. My wife pretty much said that the next new gun that comes in this house is going to get used on me. Glad I can sneak them in!

I took my wife to the range right after we got married and noticed she was shooting low on the man sized target. Watching to ensure she was doing everything correctly, she was doing everything right. Took the browning BDA 380 and shot it myself. Was hitting dead center. I asked her "where are you aiming at?" she replied "where all women should aim at on a man" then asked "do they make targets of men running away?".
This is a true story and a life long lesson that I hold dear to my health and well being. My wife can outshoot majority of shooters I know and thats alot of people.

I have a P220 Carry SAS waiting at my FFL to be picked up on Saturday. Wife said no more guns until I build her a new house. Looks like I'm going to need to start rat holing money too!

When I started in Law Enforcement my wife said if I bought a gun I had to get rid of one. Now I have a few more guns and a x-wife. She never said which one.

SIGARMS P229 9MM Factory Refurb EXCELLENT COND. $609.00 SHIPS FREE.
You can never go wrong buying a P220. I have three of them...One an early euro heel clip mag release marked "Tyson's corner", one marked "W. Germany" and one where SIG ground out the "W" to make it just read "made in Germany".

The 220 is superbly balanced when fully loaded with nine .45 ACP rounds and all of mine are tack drivers.

Enjoy your P220

Its not "if" but "when" you will start rat holing money in your marriage. I dont care if you are into guns, knives, electronics,etc...Its gonna happen if you love your wife and love your happiness. I am in 19 years of wedded bliss. I have discovered what is important to tell the wife and what should be filtered without being dishonest. She can do the same things with shoes or purses for all I care. Given the political climate, owning the right gun is probably a pressing issue. I doubt they will ever restrict shoes or purses unless they shoot more than 10 bullets.

Happy Wife

Totaly agree with you. I've been married for 36 years, and have many 'hobbies' and only one wife...She only needs to know what she needs to know!!! I take care of what needs to be taken care of and the rest my paycheck is mine. I tell her the same applies to her paycheck.

I was Tennessee Honey but set up a new profile because I couldn't figure out how to change my username. There was some confusion as to my sexual identity on a few posts so I went with something a little less confusing.

I ended up buying the P220 without ever shooting one based on the suggestions I got in this forum. Having not shot it really adds to the excitement of picking it up. Just means I'll have to pick up that 229 later!

Not just the wife, but unexpected expenses too. I have been, as u say, ratholing, cash for about a year. I had enough to get a 229 new if I wanted. Now I can't even afford that beautifully priced one tennesseehoney posted.... Makes me make sad faces....

We just came from our LGS and they had zero 229's, a couple 226's and a few odds and ends. Total of about 15 Sigs. No 9mm ammo either!
