Hey guys,

I just stumbled upon the .22 LR conversion kit for a P226 today, it really peaks my interest as to the advantages of saving money by goin from .40 S&W to .22 when I can't afford much .40 ammo and basically having another gun to have fun with. Anyone have experience with the conversion kit?

Thanks Jeff, I'm glad to hear one vote for them right now, they are such a cool idea and much cheaper than purchasing a new SIG. I wish I could buy the threaded barrel kit, but unfortunately I am once again thwarted by my state.

I don't know why I posted that I'd go check instead of just checking... I must have been in Instant Message mode. I looked on SIG's site and they have a kit for the P228 (NON-rail frame only).

SIG .22 LR conversion kits

There's the link to the kit. Under "select type" it shows the options. If you have a rail frame, I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a kit for the P228, but I'm unsure as I just discovered this awesome kit earlier today.

Also, here are the kits with threaded barrels... unfortunately the P228 isn't an option for the threaded kits, but I thought I'd post just in case someone's interested.

Have kits for my P229 (40S&W) and P226(9mm) , Great cost savings and even better for training NEW shooters.

I've sold a bunch of them and I've never had any customers come back with a complaint. And like Jeff said - I do have a really good price on them!

A customer invited me to play with his yesterday - he was having some problems with it. We found out he was limp wristing a 22 - the blowback action only works if the energy from recoil can be harnessed to move the slide, not the entire gun.

After that - no problems whatsoever running stock or + Silencerco Sparrow!

I'd ask you price but right now the last thing I need is to make another couple hundred+ dollar purchase. I'll have to catch up with you later on it though.

For the price he is asking its worth the buy, ill just say its cheaper than the vouchers SIG gives out with handgun purchases.

What is this voucher? I've never heard of it. I'm now curious to see what SIG is offering direct.
