.
without pictures, it didn't happen

(and yes, asking "how much" one paid, for anything, is always "rude" (my opinion))

I disagree... I was also curious to know what they're going for as that is what I was looking for before I purchased my 226.

Why exactly would it be rude?

I picked mine up before Thanksgiving at a gun show for $825 + tax NIB from a dealer. Guy was asking $850 for it and I was able to talk him down. Another dealer there was asking $860 for the one he had for sale. LGS had one for $899 a few weeks ago. Hope this helps ya.

To ask how much someone paid IMO is not rude. To pressure someone for an answer is IMO.

It's been so long since I said "just one more", I stopped saying it.
Congrats, and great find.

No problem. Paid $939 + tax
Actually felt pretty good about the price all things considered. MSRP is $1125.
With all the hype going on right now I figured it would be totally untouchable.

Seems like a good deal... I was looking for one a couple weeks back and I was trying to buy one for $999 plus tax... but it sold minutes before I got there.

I wound up settling on a used 226 for my first gun.
