Question Looking at SG1911-22

I am thinking of adding a SG1911-22 to my collection, is there any thoughts or recommendations . Price is much lower than Kimber's, is there a reason?

I have a Ruger Mark III, stainless with the heavy barrel, and it's a ton of fun. It's not exactly a 1911 but feels a bit like one in the hand. It's a nail-driver, dead on accurate. I just looked that gun up on Sig's website and it looks like it would be a great plinker but when I think .22 plinker pistol I think Ruger Mark series.

Sig 1911 .22LR

I bought this gun and ADORE it! Accurate. Fun. Dimensionally the same size as other Sig 1911's. The gun is made for Sig by GSG (German Sport Guns) so you may want to look at their products, too, and price compare. But in the end, it's a gun that I always look forward to shooting (when ammo was available!!). I'd also recommend that, if you buy, replace the guide rod... something this nice should be equipped with a metal guide, not plastic.

I have the GSG 1911-21 version and really like it. It shoots very well and I recommend it or the SIG version.

For cost effectiviness get the P226 22LR and then you can get a caliber X-Change kit.

I'm looking too

I also have been looking at the 1911-22. Either that or a conversion kit for my P226. Price is not my main consideration, what do you folks recommend?
