Thank you, I figured someone out there would be happy. My wife isn't... Mitigated by the "but I traded in my other one, so I still only have 2 gun!" She doesn't know that this gun shoots heavier rounds then the last one though... I'm not gonna be the one to tell her that!

Nice thing about the P229 it was built to shoot the .40 Cal. You'll enjoy shooting it, and she will too. The recoil on it isn't as snappy as other .40's.

What every firearms owner wishes their spouse would say, and mean it, when they bring home a new one.

I bought it used on a trade -in. Spent like 200$ for it and 2 mags (one of which only holds 10 rounds....). Traded a p250 9mm with and extra mag. Also traded all my 9mm rounds for .40 s&w. He didn't have any 9mm rounds, so he was MORE THAN HAPPY to take them off my hands. I have a .40 p229 with ammo for 200$. Not a bad day.

She (the wife) was happy that I didn't go spend 1000$ on a new one.

Extry nice. Sounds like a win-win-win all the way around.

Just took my "new" P229 9mm CPO to the range today. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am mine.

Welcome to the 229 crowd. I think it may be the best all around Sig out there.
As time goes on, you can equip it to shoot 357 or 9mm as well.
I also finally found out G10 grips really improve my 229 much.

Only TWO GUNS! I guess I should really stop complaining about my wife and her occasional harping about my guns. I believe your wife would have left me a long time ago. I guess I never realized how good I have it. Next time you want to go looking at guns let me know, I might meet up with you. Then you could blame it all on someone else.
