Re-Match SIG P225 & HK P30SK Range Time

These two 9mils are our summertime ccw this year. Last month, HK P30SK LEM bested our little SIG rookie P225. HK's more experienced - was ccw last year. She's pretty good at finding those targets.

But now, P225 has at least caught-up, and she's got the MOJO!!

Here's SIG P225-A1 at 7yds target, 12 mags 8rds each - 96rds:

Here's HK P30SK LEM same distance & round count:

Here're their June targets at same distance:

FYI - here's the link for the June range time thread.

Nice shooting KC! I'm debating over the pictures, which are very nice by the way. Am I "the bad guy" if I were to say I prefer the P30 SK to the 225? I'm going to turn in now and hope I don't lose sleep over this delimma.

Great shooting and comparison.

Question - which one do you think would conceal better? I am thinking to get the P30SK for my CCW but a little bit hesitant of the wide slide and thick grip. Any input is welcome.

The P225 is perfect in size but just a little bit heavy .... I am torn.

This is starting to renew my love of the p30sk...I've been back and forth between that and a p320 for months. Live the feel of both. Like the lines of the 30sk better, like the stock trigger on the 320 better.

LOL! Yeah, this little HK has reset my performance standard for 9mil sub-compacts. At lease, in my hands it's the lightest, easiest conceal, quickest on target and most consistent shooting 3" to 3.5" barreled pistol I've owned.

P225 is making great progress though. Luv 'em both - and sleep well Mr Coder!!

Cheers

Ha haha!! These petite cuties do make choosing tough!! I'll have to say that P30SK is slightly more concealable. At least, with its flush fitting mags - and lighter too.

P225-A1 is pure SIGness. And, a lot of us here have VERY bad cases of that disease.

Cheers

Yeah, understand. P320's have a very nice striker-fire trigger - perhaps the best!!

I've carried over 20yrs, since our 'shall issue' ccw laws were passed. Like a lot, I starting with SAO 1911 types pistols, switched to striker-fired Glocks and several years ago DA/SA or DAO hammer-fired weapons.

Don't think I'll go back. I really like the added control & safety a hammer provides.

Either can be very effective for ya, as long as you train with what you carry...

Cheers

Good shooting and there is a P225-A1 with a threaded barrel thats been haunting me everytime I walk in one of my LGS's. I am selling off some that I don't shoot but have others I would like to have also. If I bought the P225-A1 I would probably sale another one. The P229c SAS I have has me liking the smaller guns and I like the size of the grip since I have short fingers
