Congrats. I was really close to pulling the trigger on that deal myself.
I researched the DAK trigger, and figured for that price, it would work fine for a HD gun.
I ended up going a whole different route instead, adding 9mm to my lineup.
Enjoy. Have fun and be safe.

I like it a lot guys...very smooth but feels like it hasn't been shot enough.

Didn't check the rails - thanks for the DA/SA advice....I was looking to see what my options are.

Question - I understand that this specific version was made for the Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security.

Any other info out there I'm missing?

In the reading I have done since ordering mine, I have found several sources who claim the Kellerman trigger system wasn't meant to give shooters options. It was a safety feature meant to protect a shooter from not being able to fire due to short stroking the trigger in DAP pistols. It was meant to be fired as a 6.5 lb pull DAO pistol with the intermediate reset being a "just in case" feature. One of the reports I read stated that they teach it as such at the Sig Academy. It kinda makes sense, but as with everything on the interwebs, actual mileage may vary!

Of course that should say in DAO pistols. I hate auto spell correct!

Try the DAK before you completely discount it, you might just like it! TommyC is dead on, that's how it is designed to be used, the intermediate reset is a heavier pull and is a back up for short stroking and for second strike. If you train as such it is a pretty sweet trigger. I have a P229 DAK Homeland Security Pistol and I'm not even considering a trigger swap.
