Thickness of P series wooden grips

I'm looking for a set of wooden grips for my 228 but I like the size of the factory plastic grips. Are there any wooden grips out there that aren't overly bulky like most of the Hogues and the ones that come from the factory on the P series? I found a pair of older Eagle grips for a 228, but I don't have the ability to physically hold them to see how thick they are.

Also, does anyone know if grips from the 90's and early 2000's will fit a 228 with a new hammer strut and base?

Thinnest wood grips I know of are from Nills. I have several sets and like them. Tried Houge wood and swapped them off immediately as too thick.
