I have two older SIG 228's that need refinished and CCR Refinishing is getting ready for their annual big Summer sale. I have been looking at some of their work on the Internet and really like the following two photos of customers' guns and am thinking about having my two done like these two in the photos. What you guys think, too "pimpish" or sweet?

I prefer the two tone and love them all!

Not sure what you meant by pimpish as a lot of Sigs look like both of these. I own a few and only one or 2 are all black.

Also a good note also I am good friends with Brad and Marry at CCR and only live about 30 miles from them. They do extra nice work (You get more than you pay for) and I have had them do a few for me and have seen plenty of his work before and afters.

Those matte finishes look nice to me and that's coming from a guy that heavily favors dark finishes on guns. I think a "pimpish" look would be chrome, high shine nickel plating or gold plating.... or diamond plating. Thankfully SIG doesn't do anything tacky like tha..... oh wait

Your guns look great.

I've had CCR refinish 7 slides on my guns and they work is outstanding.

Forgive me for asking a question that I most likely should know the answer to, but what it the name of that finish (besides a matt finish)? Those pistols are very nice looking.

Definitely " Sweet " ! I favor the bi-tone / two-tone look on SIGS and all semi-auto Pistols, for that matter. Good choice, JB
