P238 Texas Model
I'm new to Sig Sauer . Is the new Texas model P238 a collector's edition? Do these these type of models gain in value? I understand there were only 1000 made and they are numbered. Within the Sig community does this make it potentially a more desired pistol? Any help or info you can give me would be appreciated! -vy

I wouldn't think it would add much value. Some manufacturers, Winchester was one example with all their "commemorative" lever guns . . . they'd come out with one it seems like every few weeks in the 60's and 70's, just go bonkers with commemorating darn near everything imaginable. Current values for unfired examples, with box etc. are generally higher than issue price, and all looks well until you factor in inflation.
So I'd buy the gun if you like it, rather than as an investment. The P938, is a 9mm and only slightly larger than the P238.
