Hey guys, I've dry firing my 226 on a daily basis and i'm wondering what level of cleaning/maintenance is suggested, and why...

Question 1 - Should I wipe it down after each session with the any of the silicone rags, or can i get away with a quick wipe down from any ole rag? My goal is more so protection from fingerprint oil than looks. (no safe queens here)

Question 2 - If any ole rag is fine, what do people suggest for materials? micro cloths, felt, cotton, etc

Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend getting a free "Rusty's Rag" sample pack: http://www.sigtalk.net/index.php?/to...-rags-samples/ Great stuff.

+ 1 - I agree with Corey. If you order one, go with the larger Rifle/Shotgun size. JB

Thanks guys, i'll check it out. Sample packs are always useful, and imho, also demonstrates that that the product mfr has a great level of confidence in their product. Enough that they believe you'll become a return customer. Which is usually the case with me.
