Questions on charging Handles for MCX

Hi guys, I have A Virtus and a Rattler. I try and keep to Sig Parts but the charging handles seem to be a little slack. Not a huge deal but thinking about trying something else. Have you guys tried anything else that works better?
geissele used to make one but I dont believe they do any longer... Thank you!!!

SIG's handle works well, but I've switched to Geissele and Radian's Raptor handles. These handles with fatter ears - Easy to grab and more comfy on the fingers. Geissele was probable a little too pricy. Next Level Arms also have nice MCX handles...

Cheers

Do either one of these prevent the rubbing on top as you pull it back?

I replaced the charging handle on my Virtus with a Radian Raptor MCX, and couldn't be happier. No rubbing that I've noticed.

Yeah, these handles have a slicker, more solid feeling slide. Doesn't eliminate wear, but with good lube will serve you well for a very long time. Geissele has a little more substantial gas control dam, but gas blowback really isn't a problem with either.

Here's MCX on left beside MPX

Get the NLA (Next Level Armaments). It has the widest ears amongst the aftermarket charging handles. Wider that Geissele and Raptor.

I use the NLA on my MPX since charging them makes it easy during unloaded table starts in USPSA’s PCC division.

Here are a few shots of my Virtus with a Geissele charging handle. It has less up/down slop than the oem Sig. At full extension it does not touch the rifle but there is a point 3/4 of the way when pushing it back in where it touches the top of the rifle. It looks like Geissele designed their handle with a little ramp to avoid gouging the upper.

Here are my MPX with NLA and Radianch. NLA is on the background MPX. You can see how the ears are bigger compared to the Radian on the foreground.

It doesn’t gouge the upper. If you decide to go with the NLA, buy it as a set with the plate. This will prevent gouging of the upper. Cheaper and better than the Geisele and Radian Raptor.

From what I was told, Geisselle no longer makes the MCX charging handle.

That is what I was told in an email from customer service at Geissele a few weeks ago. I had bought one MCX charging handle from them and wanted to buy another, but could no longer find the MCX model on their website. Essentially the CS rep said that they are no longer making them at this time, but he did not completely rule out the possibility that they might resume production in the future. So I went ahead and bought a Radian. Very high quality. I am partial to Geisssele charging handles but the Radian seems to be a good alternative. Definitely prefer it to the original Sig handle.

So not to speculate (but I’m gonna) but Geissele has grown a lot over the last 12-15 months. Their stuff has been outta stock a lot for awhile because they’re a relatively small business and can only manufacture so much at a time. Word on the street is they’re fulfilling large gov contracts and that’s why they’re always outta stock on stuff (I check their site daily because I’m in the process of building an all Geissele DDC AR pistol). I’ve hit their CS department up a few times and they say the same thing about “discontinued for now, that’s not to say we won’t in the future”. Anyway, long story long, Geissele has been very busy for being a “mom & pop” gun company and once they finish those gov contracts, we may see a lot of those civilian side parts come back. Just my speculated .02

I planned on putting a Geissele om my rattler but they seem to not be making them anymore. The Radian I looked at for the MCX said not for the Rattler in the fine print.I bought a Next Level Armament based on posts here. Haven't put it on yet.
