Problems Viewing SIGTalk In IE11

I cannot view SIGTalk from Internet Explorer 11 on my home system.
I am having similar problems with IE at work (I believe IE 10).

It looks like it is going to display the page and then it just displays a completely white, empty page.

I've attached a few screenshots of diagnostics.

I am having to use Firefox.

Check your settings, look for anything to do with html, or shtml, it looks to me like it isn't being decoded by IE. or any kind of script blocker or script decoding. I don't use IE, haven't for years, so don't have much help. should allow all the html types, forget, think html5 maybe

I use firefox, works fine.

good luck

This is really strange.
I was having the problem today at work with a different version of Windows and IE.
Come home and have the same problem here.
Never seen anything like it before.

Microsoft's Edge browser works on SIGTalk. But I don't use it because my antivirus software is incompatible with Edge.

Gone

I have the exact same problem as you aptly described. It started about 3 days ago. I even did a system restore to an earlier date - no help. So now when I want to come to Sig Talk, I use Chrome.

I suppose if on IE I were to clean all my cookies, etc., it might fix the problem, but I don't want to go through the hassle of having to reenter all my passwords on all my other sites.

Anyway, thanks for broaching this topic as I will be tuned in to see if anyone comes up with a real solution.

Cleaning your browser history and cookies doesn't help at all.

Still doing it too.

Its not just sigtalk its waltherforums too. not sure what incompetence has been done across both boards now, but the lack of wanting to resolve it seems troubling. I guess when you get bought out . the endusers get ******* on since its now about revenue ads.

The white-out **** is happening on my IE11, too.

A few months ago I was having problems with chronic Gunbroker popups until I added "Stop Google Tracking" to IE 11 (in "Manage Add-ons" accessible from the "gear wheel"). Want to believe it is not IE 11, and have a hunch it is some weird virus, tracking, or evil script lurking on Sigtalk and trying to mess with our CPUs' psyches.

So, yeah, I am getting the same "blank-out, white-out, go ahead and make my day stuff" as the rest of you who have experienced it.

I added "Easy Privacy" to my "Tracking Protection" and also ran a Norton routine that found some "tracking cookies." It helped a little, but it is still here.

I think the Sigtalk site has a bunch of scripts running trying to figure out who we all are. It's us against the cloud now.

I have no problems with my IE 11 on any other sites.

Seems like it wasn't that long ago that Sigtalk was compromised and everyone had to reset their passwords. Could it be the Russians are loading Trojan horses?

edit: there is definitely a script that "spell-checks" for minor obscenities. I did not enter the "****" in my above-post.

Last edited by Matt Helm; 01-15-2017 at 09:23 PM. Reason: the script for obscenity checking might be causing it...
