Attaching Video to a Post

I'm having trouble attaching a video to a post. Keep getting this message when I try to upload:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

I'm working on a MacBook and the video file is in my Photo library. Any help would be appreciated. Be advised that I'm an IT dope.

Put it on YouTube and link it.
Not sure you can actually upload a video directly here?

I do not see any video extensions listed in the attachments offered .

Seems you will have to do a you tube .

But what do I know?
A: not much.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Testing:

So inserting the URL from a YouTube video works without any issues. It seems that you will have to either upload your videos onto YouTube or you can also use Vimeo. Basically, you need a hosting site to support any videos you wish to upload within your posts here.

Give it a shot and let us know if that works for you. Thanks for your patience and understanding on this.

Cheers,
Natalie

So, a question..... Are you just posting the URL to the video, or are the tags that need to be used? I've tried a couple times this morning but am not having much luck.

Thanks!

Natalie used the link for the video, when you try to add the link do you get an error? What do you see on your end?

Thank you,

~ Glenda

I'll try here, but....

If I just post the link, I only see the link:

If I use the "embed code" from the video, I get this:

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rmP6YovR-hA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Well, ain't I special. (special being not smart... ) Lmao!! Now I see the video. Guess I needed to actually post it instead of relying on the "preview post" button.

Natalie:

Could you please tell me how to upload photos from my computer? I looked
for a tutorial using the "search" function and no luck. Fairly new to this forum.

Thanks, Caddy

Hey Caddy,

Best way to do it is: Click "Go advanced" under the post window - Click on the paperclip icon( a new window will pop up) - Click "Choose file" - Pick the image you want to upload and then click "Upload". Once you save your post, you'll see your image as an attachment.

If you would like it flush with your post. Once you've uploaded the image click the paperclip icon again, and click on images name.

Eg.

150x150.jpg

Let me know if you need help with anything else.

Niall
