Question

Not a big deal to me but I'm curious why....

I have the attached signature block. Sometimes I see it as shown, other times part of it is missing.

Any idea why? Again, not a big deal but curious....

That's disappointing.
They we supposed to stop in for coffee.
Not even a call.

How disrespectful!

Not sure, I know there is a tick box that allows you to choose to show or not show your signature. FWIW I can see your signature in this thread.

That's weird.

Is this what you're seeing? I'm not seeing that. I see the Emerson quote but not the one about tailgating.

There is no need to tailgate me when I am doing 50 in a 35... and those flashing lights on top of your car look ridiculous.

“Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I'm also seeing only the Emerson quote. The other line is definitely in your profile when I look at the Admin page on your profile.

Hi @SteveAikens.

So, I was trying to figure out what was going on with your signature and I noticed that when I tried removing the dashes that you had right above where it says "There is no need to tailgate me when I am doing 50 in a 35... and those flashing lights on top of your car look ridiculous" the whole signature shows fine.

I have left the dashes out so that both quotes will show, but it's up to you whether you would like them to be put back or not. I'm not sure why that would be the cause of the problem, but things seem to be showing up fine now. Let us know what you think, or feel free to put the ------ back if you prefer!

Cheers,

Erik

Thanks Erik. Fine like it is. What was odd was, some posts it showed, others not.

Thanks.

No problem. I think, in terms of reasoning, it's likely that a version of your signature was cached without both parts of it included. Did you, by chance, add the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote first, and then add the other part later? If so, the system might have cached the version of your signature with the quote, but not the other part. That might be why it shows up sometimes, but not all the time.

I hope that makes sense. The "fix" seems to still be working, but if you notice that your signature continues to have issues, let us know and we can try emptying the signature cache.

Cheers,

Erik

That's exactly how it was added. Sounds logical to me.

Regardless, it's good now. Thanks.
