It reported IDP.ALEXA.51 which I read is associated with some games. We have not downloaded any games on our computer.

Looks like you may have picked up some malware. That particular seems to be associated with:

Seamonkey.exe
Ammsetup(1).tmp

Do a system scan and quarantine the file if your anti-virus has not done so already.

We do not use these files so you may have picked it up elsewhere.

As for the 'games' you mentioned. If you use Facebook, it may come from there as there are games embedded into the site.
